2021 Supreme Longjing (1st Picking)
The first picking of the season for high-quality green tea always reflects all of the hallmarks of spring season. Meet Supreme Longjing – a staple of the Teahead Reserve collection.
These leaves are more delicate, tender and light than their fall counterparts, and as a result their flavor is vegetal, sweet, fresh, with a touch of minerality. This pinnacle green tea has an extremely powerful aroma, and will remind you of the best aspects of spring – fresh air, with a touch of green and floral notes.
First pickings of the season command a higher price, due to very limited supply and the complexity of picking - only the youngest buds are picked on a specific day in March, and carefully processed to produce the first tea of the season.
Supreme Longjing comes to us from the Longjing village in Zhejiang Province, China. The first time we tried this tea - we immediately fell in love with it, and had to get as much as we could for our Teahead Reserve collection. We managed to grab a tiny amount of this superb tea, so grab it while it is still in stock!
